Six reasons a manual gate stops being worth it.
Automation is not a luxury on a gate that opens four times a day. It is the difference between a gate you operate and a gate that works.
You never step out of the car
No more getting out in the rain, in the heat, or at 11 pm on a dark road to push a gate open.
Nobody walks in behind you
A manual gate stays open as long as someone leaves it open. An automatic gate closes itself, every time.
The gate stops for a child
Photocell sensors read the driveway. The moment something breaks the beam, the gate stops and reverses.
Your gate lasts longer
Controlled speed and a soft stop mean far less stress on rollers, track and welds than a gate that gets shoved and slammed.
It works when the power doesn't
Turn the key, release the clutch, push the gate by hand. Ten seconds, no tools.
It runs from your phone
Optional inbuilt Wi-Fi. Open from the app, a remote, a wall switch, or by asking Alexa. Every operation is logged.
Three models. Pick by gate weight.
Choose by how heavy your gate is, not how long it is — a short gate in solid MS sheet can weigh more than a long one in open grill. Our technician confirms the weight during the free site survey, before anything is dispatched.
All three Pellidium models: 220V single phase, magnetic limit switch, key-release manual override, up to 20 remotes with 2 in the box, optional inbuilt Wi-Fi with Alexa support, and 100% repairability with genuine spares stocked in India.

Choose your motor
Pick by how heavy your gate is, not how long it is. A short gate in solid MS sheet can weigh more than a long one in open grill. If you are not sure of the weight, pick the closest and our technician will confirm it during the free site survey — before anything is dispatched.
Enter your gate length
Measure the full length of the sliding gate panel itself — not the width of the opening. The gate panel is always longer, because part of it stays behind the pillar when the gate is shut. The gear rack runs along this whole length, which is why we need this number.
Gear rack is sold in 1-metre lengths, so we round up to the next whole metre. Fixing screws come with every metre. A rack that stops short means a gate that stops short.
Safety sensors
RecommendedA pair of infrared sensors fitted on your two pillars. They watch the driveway, and the moment a child, a pet or a vehicle breaks the beam the gate stops and reverses. We fit one pair on almost every gate we install.
Without sensors the gate has no way to detect anything in its path. You can still add them later, but the wiring is much easier to do now.
Warning light
A flashing light fitted on top of your pillar that comes on before and during gate movement, so anyone approaching knows the gate is about to move. Optional. Most useful on blind driveways, schools, factories, and gates opening straight onto a public road.
OTODOR Care+
Your motor already carries a 2-year warranty as standard. Care+ adds a third year for a flat fee — no percentage, no fine print. Worth taking on gates that run many cycles a day: society gates, schools, factories and shared driveways.
Installation
₹4,999Certified welder for the base plate and rack, OTODOR technician for mounting and commissioning, sensor alignment, limit setting, remote and app pairing, and an on-site demo before we leave.
Not included: civil work and plinth casting, gate fabrication or track repair, and the electrical point — we will send you exactly what to keep ready.
Your price

Installation includes one free demo visit. Site visits after 30 days from installation are chargeable.
What you need to keep ready before we arrive
Give this page to your electrician and your mason. A site that is ready is a gate that is automated in a single visit — and no competitor in this market publishes this list at all.
01
Power supply point
- 220–240V AC, single phase, 50Hz. Three phase is not required for any Pellidium motor.
- 3-core copper cable — Phase, Neutral and Earth. 1.5 sq.mm for runs up to 20 metres from your distribution board. Use 2.5 sq.mm beyond 20 metres, or for the 900W motor.
- One dedicated 16A MCB plus a 30mA RCCB or RCBO in the main board. Label it GATE MOTOR.
- Terminate in an IP65 weatherproof junction box at the motor plinth, 300–450 mm above finished ground level. Leave 1 metre of loose service cable.
- Earthing is mandatory. Independent earth continuity to the motor earth terminal, resistance under 4 ohms. Do not share the lightning arrestor earth.
02
Photocell sensor cabling
- One outdoor-grade CAT-6 run from the motor to each pillar.
- Run it in a straight line inside 20–25 mm PVC conduit. Sweep bends only, no sharp right angles, and leave a draw wire inside.
- Terminate 500–600 mm above finished ground level, matched within 10 mm on both pillars. If the two heights differ, the beams will not align.
- Leave a 300 mm service loop at both ends.
No conduit possible? The Flick receiver can run on battery. Mention it during the site survey.
03
Warning light cabling (only if taking one)
- One run to the top of the pillar, on the side facing traffic.
- DC 12V or 24V strobe: CAT-6 is sufficient.
- AC 220V strobe: run 3-core 1.5 sq.mm instead. CAT-6 is not rated for mains voltage.
Confirm which version you are taking before your electrician pulls the cable.
04
Civil work checklist
- Level concrete plinth at the motor position, cast in line with the gate rail and flush with the gate frame.
- The gate must roll freely by hand, end to end, before we arrive. A stiff or dragging gate cannot be automated on the day.
- Rollers, guide rollers, catch post and mechanical end stops fitted and working.
- Gate frame face plumb and straight along the full length of the rack line.
- Power and data conduits kept separate. Never pull CAT-6 and 220V through the same pipe.
- Buried conduit: 450 mm minimum under driveways with warning tape above it, 300 mm elsewhere.

Sliding gate motor installation in Delhi NCR and North India
We install directly across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Sonipat. Across the rest of North India — Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand — we supply and coordinate installation through the OTODOR partner network.
Sixteen years as NavKar Systems means the gates we automated in 2010 still have parts available today. That is the difference between a brand and an importer.
