Good gate motors stop precisely at the open and closed positions using limit switches. Magnetic limit switches are more reliable outdoors than mechanical ones, because there are no contacts to rust or bend.
3. Rack, foundation and civil work
The rack must be fixed along the full length of the gate, and the motor needs a level concrete base. If your gate runs on an uneven or damaged track, it should be corrected before automation. These items are part of a proper quote, so check whether they are included.
